Precision Back Pressure and Vacuum Control Valves

Designed, manufactured, and supported out of North Carolina, Equilibar specializes in engineering custom back pressure and vacuum control products. Equilibar holds two patents on sensitive fluid balancing relief valves.

Also called pressure relief valves, BPV's (back pressure valves), Equilibar control valves can be used to control vacuum, vacuum thru positives pressure, back pressure and vacuum, very low pressures, and absolute pressures. Equilibar back pressure and vacuum regulators can be operated with manually set springs, with mechanically set positive or pressure vacuum regulators or with electronicaly controlled pressure or vacuum regulators. Use of an air pressure regulator to load the dome of a pilot operated vacuum or back pressure valve minimizes droop inherent with tradtional spring operated regulators and maximizes precision and resolution.

An electronically controlled air pressure regulator acting as the pilot adds additional benefits. Porportion-Air's, MPV and QPV series control valves utilizing proportional valve technology, make ideal pilot regulator for Equilibar precision dome loaded regulators.

Also called electro-pneumatic, I/P, or E/P regulators, the QPV and MPV can be used to easily control pressure or vacuum in a process based on an automated signal from a PLC or process computer. They use two servo valves (a 'push' valve and a 'vent' valve) to precisely control pressure as measured by an internal or external electronic pressure sensor.
